Amtrak Port Huron to Chicago Run 164 - Entering Union Station from the South Side of Chicago


Coming into Chicago south of 95th Street and continuing to Chicago's Union Station.Some of the areas on that Route: Bridgeport, US Cellular Field (Chicago White Sox Statium), Chinatown, the South Loop, and Chicago Union Station. You will see the Sears Tower and the Elgin Clock on the side of Union Station. Note: Elgin Watches and Clocks use to be made in Elgin Ill. www.stonegreasers.com This Amtrak train departed from Port Huron, MI, and traveled through: Flint, Durand, East Lansing, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Niles, Michigan City, Hammond/Whiting, and Union Station in Chicago. Out of Union Station, this route follows along side Stewart Avenue from 23rd Street to 45th Street where it passes Fuller Park. Then it follows Shields Avenue from 47th until 61st Place where it crosses the Dan Ryan Expressway. You will see both the Red and Green line elevated trains along the Dan Ryan. Then it follows the Chicago Skyway and South Chicago Avenue from 67th Street until 112th Street where it makes the Hammond/Whiting stop.
